They should just make the price the same as a DSi.

Also I remember myself saying something about the 3DS is just a DSi with 3D features looks like I was right.

1. yes it is a new console.

2. not really, it will be around the same price but because the 3ds is coming out stores will start dropping the prices of previous DSs (such as ds lite, dsi, dsxl)

Except the DSi does not have dedicated hardware-accelerated 3D hardware nor a specialized screen to make flat images appear to have depth (actual 3D).

3DS has far superior graphics, and is to be a new handheld, not just an upgrade of the ds.

There hasn't been much update on it.

Probably wont be much of an update 'till a release date is announced.

This, cost more than a Playstation 3? Sorry, but I don't think so.

Nintendo did say its gonna be comparable to the DSi and XL's prices so there's no need for gross over-estimations.

A $30 markup wouldn't be too far fetched. I'd still pay it for this kind of technology.
