Re-format your card, should sort out any corruption problems.

Wow and I totally suggested a defrag. 
Format your card (which will delete everything on it so back up beforehand) and then try it.

Plug the card into a card reader.
In Windows Explorer, go to My Computer. Right click on the drive the card is in. Make sure you're not right clicking on the wrong drive. Select "Format" from the list. Double check the size listed is close to the size of your card. If you have a 2GB card and it says 80GB, then you clicked on the wrong drive. Click OK. Wait a little while, and it'll be formatted. Everything will have been wiped. Copy your backups back to the card.
