I have had a problem with searching for a thread twice, and I know others have as well. The anime K-On! does not appear on searches, and Air does not either. I know that searches have to be over three characters long, so that's why Air doesn't appear. Is this something that could be fixed, or is it just stuck the way it is?
i tried searching for dragonball z broly movie and nothing shows up , i know its there i uploaded it
Any time I post in the random picture thread, I've had to search for it... And that's been ok, but it's also been the only search I've tried. I'll keep an eye out for problems too.
Unfortunately there is a hard limit of 3 characters for searching that can't be overridden, simply because of the way the search operates.
Unfortunately there's not much I can do to improve it. If you want to search for a publically available thread, google site:gbatmw.net *search term* will work, but obviously the members only threads won't be indexed.
Beyond that, if you're looking for a specific thread regularly, I suggest either bookmarking it or subscribing to it. Sorry that it's not perfect, but the forum software has limitations regarding search that aren't easy to get around.
Okay. If we were to get all videos on the wiki, and also if we could browse all series or movies at once. That might help people find things. The problem is adding all those threads. Also, probably not too many people go over there.

I noticed that the wiki is missing all my uploads, and ones that were uploaded this week by others are listed as Feb 1.
Luna: I've looked at the wiki, and I see a number of movies that appear to be by you. There isn't any on the main page because they're ordered by thread creation date, and the last one you uploaded was in January.
http://wiki.gbatmw.net/index.php/DPG_Mov...nuary_2010 has all the uploaded movies in January.
That page didn't exist until just now, because I was behind on my page creation. Currently pages have to manually created, although there may be a way of automatically generating pages. I'll look into it more once we've moved to the new host.
I'm hesitant to take on any upgrade or modification projects until we've completed the move, because anything I do here has to be done on the new server as well. Once we've moved (forum and forum wiki should move tomorrow), and I've ironed out any bugs, we can try and get the wiki working slightly better.
Regarding seeing what movies are recent, I started to put together a "latest movies" page a few months back, but I never really finished. You can see what I've done so far by clicking
here. Change the fid to change the forum. I think I linked it at the top of each board for a while, but the link disappeared a while back. It could do with multiple pages (rather than just showing the latest movies), and perhaps a bit of wiki integration to show other details next to the thread. If you have any feedback, just say!
I'm not sure what the best way to allow accurate search is. I could probably let the google search bot index the whole forum, but I think it's against googles t&C's to show a different page to the bot and to a visitor. I'll look out for more accurate searching - perhaps a third party search plugin or something. I don't think anything like it exists for myBB, but there might be other mySQL searching utilities we could make use of. The new server gives us more control over resources, so it should be easier to implement new features.
