My parents have finally agreed that they will get me an XBOX 360 Elite Console for Christmas! I AM SO HAPPY!
So anyways, i just needed to get it out there.
Any tips or anything welcome!

If you're going to mod it make sure you know what you are doing. If not, you'll get banned on xbox live. I heard that Microsoft laid down the banhammer on Halloween.
If you're not geting LIVE their isn't really any reason why not to get it modded.
I sugest you read up about it on wikipedia or something.
it might actually be tough to flash, if it's a new console.
the new liteon drives are tough
but yeah, i'd do your homework if you are considering getting it modded.
i survived this wave, and am currently waiting for my SATA card to arrive in the mail so i can flash mine myself.
I think it's too risky to mod an Xbox. First, they die quickly and have to be sent in for repair/replacement. You no longer have a warranty if you mod it, and the chances it will need repair are quite high. That, and I like to play on XBL.

K, so on this topic, i have decided to not get it modded.
Also, my cousin brought his PS3 ova to play, and i tried to connect it to my current PC Screen/DVD Player/TV, that i have in my room, and it just wouldnt show.
I cant find it anywhere else: this is the model.

Also does anyone know why the PS3 didn't work.
PS: We didnt use HDMI cause my screen doesnt have a HDMI input thing, we used those things (not sure of the name) that have 3 output cables, the red, white and yellow.

The PS3 was likely set for 1080p, which you need HDMI for. The cables you used were component. There is a way to reset the PS3 as it powers on so that you will have to set the resolution again, but I'm afraid I don't know it. The easiest way to fix that is to simply put the PS3 at the right resolution before it's brought over, or just pit it at 480i (SD resolution) and it'll look sucky for a few moments as you go in and put your TV's 720 or 1080 resolution.

If it's a TV, then yes, the Xbox will connect to it.

Sony bigger than Nintendo? If by 'bigger' you mean 'more employees', then ya, I agree. However, Nintendo makes way more money than Sony does.

i doubt that. i REALLY doubt that.
since last i checked, nintendo doesn't make tv's, laptops, cellphones, e-readers, digital cameras, home theater systems, blu-ray players (they invented the format), audio cd's (they have their own label, and invented that format as well), movies (they have their own studio, and among its hits, they made spiderman), camcorders, mp3 players, car audio, and.....i think i just about covered it.
now, nintendo probably makes more than SOE, the gaming division. but SOE also runs everquest. just because the wii makes a profit and outsells the ps3 does not mean that nintendo automatically makes more money.
I suppose I was the only one that was referring to the video game division of these companies.

K so i just got my Xbox 360 LIMITED EDITION MODERN WARFARE 2 CONSOLE, as an early christmas present (some polish tradition) and both games i have dont work! (FORZA 3 and Modern Warfare 2)!!! WTF!!!
The screen i have only works with 50Hz, not 60Hz, which means i cant play any of the new games out for XBOX!!!! SUCKS SHIT!!!! So are there any ways to work around this, or do u just have 2 buy a new TV?
