Hi GBATMW,

After tirelessly spending nearly 3 hours trying to get Moonshell 2.05 (stable) release to work on my M3 (SD) Lite, I was just about to give up when I found the solution.

I'm a Mac user, and thought that this was never going to work on my DS, but it does so I thought I'd post it for anyone else having the same problem.

How to Put Moonshell 2.05 (stable) onto M3 Lite (MicroSD) using a Mac:

OK, here are the steps:

1) Download the Moonshell program zip file from your source. Unzip the file using UnRar, 7Zip etc. and it should give you a folder called 200907250130Moonshell205stable. Open the folder to see the files inside.

2) Connect your MicroSD card to the Mac via USB (or however you do it).

3) Copy the 'Moonshl2' folder to the root of your card.

4) Go back online, and download a program called 'DLDI Drop' from http://www.blogadresse.de/2007/01/29/dld...e-mac-way/

5) Open the DLDI Drop program, and then go back into the '200907250130Moonshell205stable' folder. Select and drag the 'Moonshl2_directboot.nds' file and place it on the DLDI Drop program.

6) It will ask you what Flash Card you want to patch it to - select the M3 (SD Card).

7) This will now create a replacement file for the 'Moonshl2_directboot.nds' in your '200907250130Moonshell205stable' folder - it directly replaces it without asking you!

8) Copy the new 'Moonshl2_directboot.nds' file (which should be in the '200907250130Moonshell205stable' folder) onto your MicroSD card (to the root) .

9) Now copy the 'Moonshl2' file to the root of your MicroSD card.

10) Finally, copy the 'LanguageSelect.exe' file from the 200907250130Moonshell205stable folder to the root of your card too. This will allow you to select the language of the Moonshell program when it has started (see below).

11) Start up the M3 on your DS with your MicroSD card now installed. Select 'Moonshl_directboot.nds' and hey presto, it runs!

Changing the language:

Initially, it starts in Japanese. On the first screen, tap the Green tick in the bottom-right corner - this should then bring up a screen full of the files on your card.

At the bottom of the files (or somewhere on the file list) should be your 'LanguageSelect.exe' file. Find it and select it.

This will bring up a number of languages - its just a simple case of selecting which one you want and it will adjust the language for you!

I hope this helps someone, as I've had to figure this all out for myself - I'm a relative noob to Moonshell (and as a poster here), so please forgive my ignorance if someone has already done this - it's just I couldn't find it anywhere after using the search facility quite a few times (and Google too!).

Can other Mac users confirm this?

Glad this has helped someone - thanks for the reply dec101!

If this has helped any other Mac users, please let me know (let us know what Mac and system you're using) - the post above was via a Mac Mini with Mac OS X Tiger (although I now have Snow Leopard and it works fine on that too).
Can also confirm this now works for Moonshell 2.09 release (using the same instructions as above).

Just remember to download the .zip Moonshell 2.09 file, and not the Moonshell 2.09 .exe file.

Any probs or questions, feel free to ask!
